Taken on the same day as this image, the light, though bright was diffused by high cloud which is perfect for photography in woodlands. In bright sunshine handling the extremes of exposure introduced by deep shadows and bright highlights makes taking a successful picture very difficult. So here's a tip for you - on overcast days head for the woods
