North Cornwall Gallery - Ref: 12278 - Sandymouth Beach
Sandymouth is one of my favourite locations in Cornwall. Situated about 3 miles north of Bude on the North Cornwall coast it offers a wealth of photographic opportunites. This shot was taken in the late afternoon on a warm March day about an hour before sunset. The upper part of the beach is strewn with rounded boulders worn smooth by the action of the sea over the millenia and in order to emphasise them I set up the camera low to the ground and fitted a wide-angle lens to my camera. The low sun has lit up the cliffs with an orange glow which contrasts nicely with clear blue sky. For information about shooting this location go to my Locaton Guide here.
