North Cornwall Gallery - Ref: 09452 - Towards Dusk, Sandymouth, Bude
Taken at Sandymouth, just north of Bude on the North Cornish Coast this image was made at low-tide when the sandy beach at Sandymouth is revealed. This area of the beach is strewn with unusual rock formations interspersed with beautiful golden sand. My idea in taking this image was to show the rocks and sand against the dark clouds which were forming on the horizon. My immediate foreground area is in sunlight coming from the front-left, while the background is dark. I darkened the upper part of the image with an ND grad filter to hold back the bright part of the sky and also darken the already dark clouds futher to make the image a little more dramatic.
